Non-council collectors in your area

Although the Billingshurst Parish Council can recycle a range of items, there are lots of household items that can’t be recycled through them. Thankfully local initiatives, like Terracycle, allow you to recycle things to stop them going into landfill.

Green Living collects a wide range of items for Terracycle, a specialist recycling organisation that works with sponsors to process waste that can’t go in your household recycling bin. This includes food packaging and wrappers, used cleaning products and other everyday materials that would usually be thrown away.

They run a collection point at The Chapel’s car park in High Street, as well as William Penn Primary School. You can read more about the specific waste categories they collect on their website.

The Co-Op at Southwater also allows customers to recycle soft plastics and the M&S on Horsham Road may have a collection point too.

Nearly all UK supermarkets offer battery recycling points, making it easy to drop off used batteries while you shop.
