Other ways to recycle
Although there are three main ways to recycle in West Sussex, they don’t always allow you to recycle the things you want to. So here are some other ways that you can recycle in Billingshurst that will allow you to recycle more than just mixed recycling, textiles and garden waste. If you want to find out more about recycling those things, head over to our West Sussex section.

Non-council collectors in your area
Non-council collectors offer other ways to save specific items going into landfill. Which helps to reduce waste and allows for the items to find a new use.
One of the main alternative ways to recycle is TerraCycle collections. TerraCycle is a recycling company that allows people to recycle items that would otherwise go into landfill. Things like crisp packets and toothpaste tubes among lots of other things.
The things that you can recycle through TerraCycle will depend on the collection points in your area. For the people of Billingshurst, there is a collection point in The Chapel car park in the High Street which collects single-use plastics to be recycled. The collection point is run by Green Living. Click here to find out more and to view the comprehensive list of what is collected.
William Penn Quaker Primary School also collect for Terracycle on behalf of Green Living. Find out what they collect here.
