Get your Christmas tree recycled and raise money for charity

Volunteers will be collecting Christmas trees from around West Sussex between 12-15 January to raise vital funds for St Wilfrid’s Hospice in Bosham, Chichester. The hospice suggests a donation of £15 per tree for them to collect it from you and take it to be recycled. The collected trees will be turned into mulch and wood chippings for local farmlands. West Sussex expands ‘Book To Recycle’ system to more recycling centres

West Sussex County Council has announced that it will be extending the ‘Book to Recycle’ system to Billingshurst, Burgess Hill, East Grinstead, Midhurst and Chichester recycling centres from February 2024. Until then, you can continue to visit the centres without booking.
Sussex Recycling Centres Have Moved To Autumn/ Winter Opening Hours

From 1st October, Sussex recycling centres will be moving to their Autumn and Winter opening hours because the days are getting shorter and the sites are quieter. Remember that all centres are closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day. You also still need to book a slot to recycle at the following centres: Bognor, Crawley, Horsham, Littlehampton, Shoreham-by-Sea, Worthing.
